About Oria Press

Oria Press is a micropress founded in June 2025 by Sill Bihagia. While the long-term intent is to publish other great human written books too, it’s best that Sill make a few marketing and distribution mistakes on their own books first. By next year, they should be able to support others. That being said, in July 2025, Oria Press currently consists of me, a network of freelancers, and Caitlin Lloyd, a part-time P.A.

In the immediate future, Oria Press will focus on publishing Red Demon in Sept 2025 and launching a pop-up bookstore at fairs, markets, and other events across Maryland and surrounding states. We hope to help promote other indie writers whose work aligns with Oria Press’s values and help to get their books published, polished and distributed. If you are one of those writers, we'd love to hear from you to see how we can help each other. (Ex, for now, stock swap with other authors for live events?).

We hope to expand next year with other Indie Author services, collaborations, etc., assuming Red Demon has demonstrated enough success to justify that. At the very least, Sill knows they can leverage a background in data analysis in the near future to assist other writers and creatives stay afloat in a very tough industry.

What are those values?

  • Human-written work with soul intact — No generative AI used to create prose or any other creative part of the process. Authors published or promoted by Oria Press must also avoid AI-generated covers or illustrations and use human voices for associated audiobooks.

  • High-quality storycraft — Fiction that challenges readers to think as well as feel. Craft that burns, and heals.

  • Empathetic literature — Books that celebrate gender equality, LGBTIA+ inclusivity, diversity, and in all other ways are non-dickish and respectful. It’s rough out there. Oria Press promotes stories that affirm empathy and understanding.

  • Professionally edited work — While not every indie title is professionally edited, the books Oria Press publishes or features at our pop-up will be indistinguishable in quality from those you'd expect from a major traditional press.

RED DEMON

Red Demon will be available through both Ingram Spark and KDP in ebook, paperback, and hardcover. I'll be working to get this into as many independent bookstores as I can. I will donate 1 free review copy to any library or bookstore that asks prior to publication date.

Red Demon will also be sold on IndieReads.org, a collective that supports the growth of independent publishers and offers much higher royalty rates than major retailers. This is better for readers too. My intent is that any physical books sold through Indie Reads will be shipped with sprayed edges, for the same retail price as major online retailers with increasingly higher fees. Most other authors on that site will similar bonuses for those that purchase direct.

Red Demon audiobook production is currently scheduled to begin in March '26 with High Gravity Productions, narrated by Brandon Francis and Cassandra Trieu
