Red Demon:

Jesse sets out in enemy territory to seek justice, while discovering her motives both for killing his loved ones and sparing his life.
Themes & Triggers: Red Demon is an action-packed Science Fantasy complete at 116k words, with themes of resilience, found family, redemption and enemies-to-lovers romance.The book combines the fresh prose and worldbuilding of NK Jemisin’s Broken Earth series of Silence by Christopher Ruocchio, with the fast pacing of Fourth Wing or Red Rising. Expect one spicy M/F chapter and nongraphic M/M sexual situations. Non-graphic sexual assault, one chapter with graphic gore.

This follows the story of a badass setting out to rescue her gifted toddler from the grip of an evil empire. To do this, she needs the help of her estranged mentor, a morally white & psychologically gray rebellion leader with secrets that once tore them apart. Also - did you know that if you were to, in real life, bioengineer the human amygdala to be PTSD-proof, you’d likely increase odds of being both bi and very thirsy? Meet that mentor’s nemesis Jeron Alexander, an immortal well-meaning sociopath with vibes somewhere between Jamie Lannister and your literary shadow daddy of choice. One of the MCs from Red Demon will also fold back into the plot by the second half of the book.
Themes include: Grief and loss, redemption, memory neuroscience/ why forgetting is advantageous for mental health, and how your favorite popular public figure is probably a shitty parent.

This is a light, hillarious sci-fi short story collection and collaboration with other awesome authors around the world. Unfortunately for Sarah Hawkins, she didn’t make the cut and instead pilots the Starship Blunder. With her team of misfits, has-beens, and generally underqualified crewmates, she does her best to explore not-too-far away planets and check in with the alien species that humanity would prefer to forget. But their biggest challenge is to keep the hunk of junk Blunder in good enough repair to prevent crash landing at every single stop.

I see a ton of posts on reddit to get recs for enemies to lovers romance novels that don't skimp on world-building and prose, This is that, and my intention is to pitch this as a true standalone in the same universe as Red Demon. Our lead dude is an introvert from a monogamous and traditional culture (minus homophobia and misogyny). As a young boy, his family is executed following their failed rebellion, and he’s since come to accept that they deserved it. As an adult, he gets an unexpected opportunity to redeem his family name and regain his title through a political marriage. However, no one has told him that this is a fantasy book — and therefore — his government is evil. Our leading female main character has all the political savvy and education our dude needs to survive. She comes from a modern, individualistic and artistic culture where if you aren’t a sociopath, it certainly helps to fake it.
Themes include: Grief and loss, redemption, enemies to lovers romance, forced proximity, opposites attract.
